After not hearing from his mom, Bank of America executive Michelle Avan, for more than 36 hours, Trevon Avan, went to check on her on August 5, 2021. He found his mom in her bedroom dead, the victim of a violent beating.

Four days later on August 9th, Anthony Duane Turner, who was her ex-boyfriend and also worked for Bank of America, was arrested and faces murder and first-degree burglary charges. He is pleading not guilty.

Investigators believe Turner entered his former partner’s home on Aug. 3 and killed her before leaving the next day.

He has been released on a bail, due to the fact that the District Attorney Gascón did not file a special circumstances murder charge. Anthony Turner could walk away from this with a plea bargain of only seven years in prison for murder, if a special circumstances murder charge is not filed by the District Attorney Gascón, which is INJUSTICE. A preliminary hearing was set for September 30th.

Samuel Dordulian, a former Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney and sex crimes prosecutor, and his law group, The Dordulian Law Group, is fighting on behalf of Trevon and Nyah, Michelle's children, pro bono so that JUSTICE is enforced and served and Anthony Turner spends the rest of his life in prison.
